How my journey began
While managing employee benefits for some of Tampa Bay’s largest employers, I realized the impact rising health care costs had on our employee’s well-being and the company’s bottom line. Upon personal reflection, I recognized I could be doing more to improve my own health and wellness. That was the start of my personal journey to lose weight and eat healthier to minimize risk of chronic disease.
Professionally, I’ve spent the past decade gaining knowledge in the field of wellness to help employers mitigate significant healthcare claims costs. At one employer, I launched an onsite wellness center offering convenient care to employees while encouraging engagement to improve overall health. It was that experience which motivated my desire to help others on a personal basis.
After completing wellness coach training at the esteemed Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN and completing requirements for certification, I began working with clients in one-on-one sessions. It is an honor and privilege to support my clients on their personal wellness journeys.
As your wellness coach, I will serve as your accountability partner, non-judgmental listening ear, collaborator and guide. My training at Mayo is rooted in positive psychology and uncovering the values and desires which drive motivation.
